Charities

For over a decade we have been providing help and assistance to churches and charities in order to reduce their energy costs.

The Scottish Churches and Charities Utility Group is the largest energy procurement group in Scotland dedicated to the provision of electricity, gas, LPG and oil, to churches regardless of denomination or religion, alongside a range of charities and not for profit organisations to bring best possible prices to all. The group has many thousand participating churches from a wide range of denominations and religions, as well as a number of well-known charity organisations.

Each participant benefits from the groups purchasing power, combined with our in-depth experience to maximise leverage with the suppliers. We continuously monitor the electricity and gas supply wholesale and retail markets, including the numerous tariff options currently on offer. We are able to provide sound, transparent advice based on our in depth knowledge of the energy market including the use of electricity and gas in churches, church halls and other religious organisations.

You still retain autonomy with each agreement under a separate stand-alone contract between you and the energy supplier; there is no third party invoicing or payment, billing and payment is made direct to the energy supplier.

As well as providing utility procurement we can also help with:

  • Smart metering and consumption reports
  • Bill validation and account reconciliation
  • Contractual dispute
  • Energy efficiency and conservation
  • Renewable energy options
  • Individual congregational/charity member assistance
